SUPER ROPE CINCH® USAGE DISCLAIMER
The Super Rope Cinch® is a lightweight, household device that may be used to secure and un-secure pliable rope ranging in size from 1/8″ to 5/8″ in diameter. It IS NOT intended for use in climbing, safety situations, rescue missions, or any other scenario where humans may be injured due to rope breaking and/or the device failing. The Super Rope Cinch® should never be used to secure or suspend any item in any situation where improper use, device failure, rope failure, sliding and/or dislodging could lead to bodily injury. Please refer to the rope manufacturer’s Safe Working Load (SWL) before using the Super Rope Cinch®.
Quick Weight/Load Reference:
Locate the SWL of the rope being used
Divide the rope manufacturer’s SWL by 10: SWL / 10 = Weight/Load Limit of the Super Rope Cinch® Note: The device must be fully engaged to work effectively. Be sure to twist the device to it’s fully-locked position.
Testing Hold: Holding both ends of the rope (not the device) pull tightly on both ends of the rope to make sure there is no slippage. If you notice slippage, apply more torque to the Super Rope Cinch until completely tight.
Once load has been placed on the rope, you may again apply torque to the Super Rope Cinch to gain even more holding power.
Other weight/load factors (including, but not limited to):
The SWL (Safe Working Load) of the rope being used.
Must use only “pliable” or “flexible” ropes. Tightly wound, or plastic/nylon covered ropes may slip.
The weight of the item being secured.
The amount of “twist” or “lock” placed on the rope by the person using the Super Rope Cinch® device. The device must be fully locked to work effectively.
The age and/or condition of the rope. (Do not use splintered or rotted ropes)
